Here’s some info that may be of use to you. For years now I’ve had an old paypal account that I never used since it was tied to an old email address, the big problem was that my primary bank account was tied to it so I couldn’t associated that bank account with my valid paypal account.So I figured I’d just get rid of that entire old paypal account, It was actually quite simple to do.
To close your PayPal account, go to your Profile. If you close your account, all of your outstanding transactions will be canceled immediately, and your remaining account balance, if over $1.50, will be mailed to you.
1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the Profile subtab.
3. Click the Close Account link in the Account Information column.
4. Follow the steps provided.
